Lucido Medical-Legal Consulting
Services for medical cannabis patients, physicians, and attorneys
Dear Physicians, Attorneys, Patients, and Patient Advocates,
I want to take this opportunity to introduce you to my medical
cannabis practice, and to my consulting services, Lucido Medical-
Legal Consulting. My expertise can be useful to medical marijuana
patients, physicians, and their attorneys.
I have practiced General and Family Medicine in Berkeley since 1979.
Since the passage of the California Compassionate Use Act of 1996, I
have also become one on the leading experts on the clinical use of
medical cannabis, protecting legitimate patients who use cannabis
medicinally, and responsible physicians who recommend it.
Patients:
For patients who use marijuana medicinally, I offer Medical Cannabis
evaluations. I am widely known to be a thorough, caring, and trusted
physician, who takes the time and effort to establish that the
patient is appropriate in their use of medical cannabis, and has
defensible medical records demonstrating it.
I can also provide second opinions, reviewing patients who have been
unfortunate in getting their recommendations from a less thorough
physician, and who have been advised by counsel to seek consultation
from a more credible physician.
Physicians:
For cannabis-recommending physician or those considering performing
evaluations, I offer both preventive, and “post-event”
consultations. For a preventive consultation, I review the
physician’s medical cannabis practice standards, and provide
confidential recommendations for improvement.
For “post-event” consultations, I provide reviews of specific patient
records for which a physician is being investigated, written
opinions, and testimony at depositions, and in court or Medical Board
hearings.
Attorneys:
As noted above, I can be of help for your medical cannabis patients,
or your cannabis-recommending physicians.
My experience includes:
·Board certified Family Practice physician, providing primary health care since 1979.
·Medical cannabis evaluations of thousands of patients since 1996.
·Successful courtroom testimony in defense of legitimate cannabis patients.
·I have consulted with attorneys in other states regarding their medical cannabis patient-clients.
·Investigated by Medical Board of California for cannabis evaluation practices in 2003, and fully exonerated.
·I have since provided consultations for 3 other physicians undergoing medical board investigations or prosecutions.
·I have also provided informal assistance for dozens of other physicians through my website MedicalBoardWatch.com and my appearances and statements to the Medical Board of California, at their quarterly Division of Medical Quality meetings.
·Past experience in Medical-legal consulting, reviewing malpractice cases for the plaintiff, with subsequent depositions, as well as court testimony, when needed.
·Voted Best Doctor in Berkeley by the readers of the Daily Californian.
